The EFEIA Foundation certifies the New Bern facility under the Bio-Compatible Electromagnetic Compliance Program, with verified reductions in electromagnetic pollution across all 24 of its zones.

NEW BERN, North Carolina. June 18, 2026. The EFEIA Foundation has awarded BrainTap Corporate Headquarters the Electromagnetic Hygiene Certification (EHC) Seal at the Platinum tier, the highest recognition available under its Bio-Compatible Electromagnetic Compliance Program (BEMCP). The certification follows a full assessment of the facility carried out in February 2026 and recognizes measured, verified reductions in artificial electromagnetic pollution throughout the building.

The NOXTAK® team led the evaluation and remediation, characterizing seven independent electromagnetic domains across all 24 functional zones of the roughly 5,500 square foot headquarters, both before and after the space was treated, then carried the documented results through to the EFEIA Foundation for verification. The facility scored 34 points, placing it firmly in the Platinum band of 33 to 35 points and among the first environments certified under the program. Because NOXTAK® handled the evaluation, the remediation, and the verification process with EFEIA, the headquarters is also recognized as a NOXTAK® Space.

The remediation placed 59 SPIRO® and STROOM MASTER filtering units across the building. Measured against the recorded before and after data, the assessment documented a 55 percent average reduction in dirty electricity, with 22 of the 24 zones brought within a safe range. The extremely low frequency magnetic field became 56.7 percent steadier across nine zones, and radiofrequency power density fell 28.2 percent across the 10 MHz to 8 GHz band. Network performance improved at the same time, with every WiFi dead zone cleared and no active amplifiers added.

BrainTap also earned recognition for treating electromagnetic hygiene as ongoing practice. The facility runs an environmental health and EMF awareness program, delivers periodic education to staff and clients, maintains an active electromagnetic hygiene working group, and extends that education to the wider community.

“Electromagnetic hygiene can be measured, and BrainTap chose to measure it. The Platinum result reflects real reductions across every zone of the building, verified before and after treatment, along with a commitment to keep those conditions in place,” said Joaquín Machado, Chief Researcher at NOXTAK.

About electromagnetic hygiene and the EHC Seal

The EHC Seal is awarded to spaces that complete the BEMCP and meet the required compliance level. It is an independently verified mark, not a self declaration. EFEIA’s stance is precautionary rather than alarmist: the certification does not claim a space is risk free. It documents measured reductions in artificial electromagnetic pollution and a commitment to maintain them. Reduction work follows the LEDNA Principle (Low Emission Design with Near-field Awareness), the foundation’s framework for lowering exposure at the source and through environmental design.

About the EFEIA Foundation

The EFEIA Foundation is a professional standards and research organization focused on electromagnetic hygiene: the science and practice of reducing exposure to artificial electromagnetic fields in living and working environments. Through the BEMCP, EFEIA certifies spaces against a bio-compatible electromagnetic standard, ranging from Bronze to Platinum. EFEIA is part of the NOXTAK® ecosystem.

About NOXTAK® and SPIRO®

SPIRO® is a passive electromagnetic treatment technology developed by NOXTAK®. Rather than blocking the field, it reorganizes the spin characteristics of incoming radiation, so coverage and signal hold while exposure falls. NOXTAK® teams carry out on-site electromagnetic evaluation and remediation with SPIRO® technology, and spaces taken through that process to the EHC standard are recognized as NOXTAK® Spaces. The NOXTAK® ecosystem also includes GEMS Academy for professional training and the EFEIA Foundation for research, standards, and certification.
